Capítulo 158: El primer fan de la detective Moriaty (3/3)

No need for encouragement… He was a reliable guy… Klein opened the door with a smile.
"Good evening, Mr. White."
Emlyn raised his chin, exuding impatience.
As he was about to speak, Klein glanced at him and said in a low voice:
"This patient’s condition is irreversible. She's very old and frail. Even if I give her potions, she can only survive this winter; three to five years later, she will pass away.
"Unless there are elixirs of eternal youth or similar things, that would be the case. Or turning her into a vampire? But at her age, she’s too weak for such extraordinary changes. My parents and I don’t have any extra abilities."
Irreversible… Klein was momentarily stunned, sighing silently.
To Emlyn:
"Let’s prepare the potion first. We can talk about it after this winter."
"Okay, I brought a ready-made potion suitable for her condition." Emlyn sat on the sofa without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Jurgen the lawyer removed his apron and came out from the kitchen to inquire about Klein's intentions.
"Dr. White, what do you think of my grandmother’s lung disease?" Jurgen asked seriously.
Emlyn was clearly adept at such situations; he spoke extensively on pulmonary diseases, confusing Jurgen before saying:
"The most important thing she needs is warmth and healthy air—my most sincere advice."
"In addition, I have an effective medicine that can be used for free."
He produced a medical license and a small metal bottle.
"Will there be side effects?" Jurgen asked cautiously.
"No. The only issue is it’s not a permanent solution but a temporary cure," Emlyn answered professionally. "I wouldn’t have offered this to anyone if it weren’t for Moriarty's detective work."
Perhaps we should give it a try? Cough… Mrs. Doris interjected.
Jurgen glanced at Klein, and the pre-arranged divination gave him a nod of affirmation.
"Alright." Jurgen finally decided.
He watched carefully as Mrs. Doris drank the potion and observed her reaction closely.
At first, she showed no changes, but gradually felt more ease in breathing.
Standing up, she bent down to hug Brody the black cat and exclaimed:
"I feel much better!"
Jurgen’s usually stern face, devoid of a smile, now had a slight upward curl at the corners.
Klein thought:
Three to five years.
He smiled darkly and sighed internally.
This is also some form of magic performance—creating false results with extraordinary abilities to make people happy…
PS: Just got home after a tiring day; I’ll have three updates soon, possibly starting from tomorrow morning.
